William Ruto moved in to his multi million shilling official Deputy Presidential palatial residence built by the government in 2013. Actually former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka was meant to do the house-warming as its first occupier but he can blame the slow contractors for the delay.
With that said, not many people have seen the inside of the mansion so to speak, although photos of the building taken from outside are easily accessible on the web.

The house became a topic of conversation for a long time because of its cost, back when Mwai Kibaki was the President. It is his administration that initiated the construction.
It was completed in 2012 and handed over to the Ministry of Home Affairs ready for occupation but the outgoing Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka did not move in as it was just six months to the General Election.
