Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has suffered another severe political blow ahead of 2017 General Elections just after the exit of Budalangi MP, Ababu Namwamba, and his friends in the infamous Luhya revolution christened Mulembe Consciousness.

His only remaining Governor friend in Rift Valley also said adios to him and vowed to support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election next year.
Speaking in Bomet, Governor Isaac Ruto dumped Raila Odinga, saying he will support Uhuru Kenyatta for President in the 2017 elections.
He distanced himself from claims that he was joining the CORD coalition, saying such claims were being propagated by his opponents because he can never join Raila Odinga.
“I have not joined CORD and have no plans of doing so.”
“Let it be clear that I will support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election,” said Ruto.

Isaac Ruto has in the recent past been criticizing the Jubilee government over allocation of funds in the counties which made him have a public spat with Majority Leader Aden Duale over what he referred to as ‘Pesa Mashinani’.

Many thought the Bomet Governor would throw his weight behind Raila Odinga but he has disputed this claim. A few days ago, Ngilu and Alfred Mutua the Machakos governor declared their support for Uhuru Kenyatta, and with this trend Uhuru might resume the office.
